Why volunteer for Weecycled Wear?

Volunteering allows consignors to shop extra early and it is FUN and WELL WORTH it! You get first dibs on thousands of awesome bargains!! There are two level of volunteers(volunteer and super volunteer). A Super Volunteer is a consignor who volunteers to work two 4 hour shifts and they get to shop at 6pm on Wednesday, August 18th. A Volunteer is a consignor who volunteers to work a 4 hour shift and they get to shop on Wednesday, August 18th at 7pm. In addition to working a shift during the sale there are other times and ways to obtain a volunteer pass.

  • 4 hour or 8 hour shift-These can be worked anytime before the sale (drop-off), during the open hours of the sale or after the sale (the sort back). The hours can be split in order to accommodate your schedule as long as you end up with the correct total hours.
  • Flier Distribution -These are predetermined routes. These are first come first serve and go pretty quickly. These routes can be done at your own pace, but usually Need to be done Monday-Friday between 9am-5pm.
  • Rack Set-Up-This shift is done before the sale and will involve lifting and moving clothing racks, tables and shelves.
  • Rack Breakdown-This shift is after the sale and will involve lifting and moving clothing racks, tables and shelves.
  • Media Coverage-This volunteer opportunity is for those who have connections in the TV/Radio area and can get coverage time.
  • Pickup Day-Pickup Day- This shift is the Sunday after the sale and involves checking people out with their unsold items.
