What is a consignment sale?

  • At Weecycled Wear, the Consignors(sellers) tag and price their items. The consignor determines if their item will go ½ price. The seller receives 65% of the selling price of all items(less $8.00 advertising fee). No more yard selling or getting asked to sell it for a dime. Weecycled Wear saves you the trouble and allows you to get more for your items. Items that are not sold can be picked up or left to be donated to a local charity.

How do I price?

  • Generally a good guideline is 1/3 to ¼ of the original price. If the item is a well known brand and in top quality it can sell for more. Another good way to price is to ask yourself what you would pay for the item you are trying to price if you saw it at a consignment sale.

Do clothes sell well?

  • Yes! Clothes always sell well. Hanging clothes sell better than ones in ziplock bags. Outfits generally sell better than separates, so match that pair of overalls up with a shirt. You can always pin on a bow or a hat to go with the outfit.

How do I tag a set or multiple pieces?

  • If it is a two or three piece outfit, please pin pieces together. You can put a tag on each piece, but only put the price on one of the tags. For toys with multiple pieces attach a ziplock bag with the pieces securely attached.

Do toys sell?

  • Yes! Toys always sell well. So clean out those playrooms and make room for new stuff. Large outdoor play equipment and houses always sell first, but usually 90% + of all toys will sell!

Can I shop at the presale?

  • Yes, as long as you consign at least 20 acceptable items you are qualified to shop at the consignor presale on Thursday night. If you want to shop extra early, just sign up to volunteer and you will get to shop on Wednesday evening. Make sure you bring your laundry baskets!!!

Can I bring my child to the presale?

  • Yes, but it is at your own risk! If a child accompanies you, they must be with you at all times. Some shoppers can get crazy! No strollers are allowed at the presales due to safety issues.

Can my husband, mom, sister come with me to the presale?

  • No, only one person per consignor pass is allowed.

Is there a limit on how much I can consign?

  • There is a limit on children's hanging clothing size 9months and under. The limit is 20 items per gender per consignor. For example: You can consign 20 baby boy items sizes 9 mos. and under and 20 baby girl items sized 9 mos. and under. Other than this there are no limits on what you consign.

Do you take adult clothing?

  • No. We accept preemie -junior(girls up to size 15 and boys up to size 20), and Maternity clothing.

Can I use a tagging gun or straight pins?

  • No. Please only use safety pins(no small gold pins). You can find these at Walmart, Dollar Tree, Dollar General, etc.

Will I get my hangers back?

  • Unfortunately, you will not get your hangers back. You will get to keep any hangers on clothing that you purchase at Weecycled Wear. The best places to go to purchase hangers are: Walmart, Dollar Tree, Dollar General, or Dry Cleaners.

How do I get a consignor number?

  • Sign up beginning August 1st by by Clicking Here or Call beginning January 9th Christy at 850-1710 or Kelly at 306-3250 and we will gladly assign you a number.

Do I use my same consignor number from the last sale?

  • Always call or email to confirm your consignor number.

Can I volunteer to help?

  • YES! We would love to have you. Volunteering is fun and well worth it. You get to shop first when you volunteer to work. Contact us and we can let you know what shifts are available.

What is my cut of what sells?

  • You will receive 65% of the selling price of all sold items, less a $8.00 advertising fee. This fee helps cover some of the cost of postage, signs, flyers, and local advertising.

Do I have to make an appointment to drop my things off?

  • Yes. Appointments are necessary to allow ample time to check each consignors items in. You will need to allow 15 to 20 minutes for drop off.

Where do I drop my items off?

  • You drop your items off at the sale location at 529 Hampton Ave., Pickens in the former Winn-Dixie building

How do I sell my books?

  • You can sell them individually or bundled together. You can place them in ziplock bags or tie/rubber band several together.

How do I sell bedding, sheets and blankets?

  • If you do not have a clear comforter bag, just tie the folded item with string and pin an index card to it. You can place sheet or blankets in ziplock bags or just pin a tag to them.

Should I plan on assembling my crib?

  • Yes! Furniture sells much better when it is completely assembled. You are not required to assemble, but we highly recommend it.
